WU MEI DRINK
If you are going through a light flu caused by spring or summer heat, this drink is for you. The drink is especially good for you if are experiencing reduced urine flow, deep yellow urine, a sore throat, a high temperature, dry mouth, and your tongue is red and slightly swollen.

Ingredients:
5-6 big wu mei (smoked plum) 烏梅
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 ½ cups of water
Directions:
Lightly rinse the wu mei. Then add it to a saucepan, with the water. Turn heat on high. When the water boils, turn the heat down to low, and then add sugar.
The drink should be ready in about 10 minutes, when the wu mei is softened and broken down.
Aim to have the mixture boiled down to ¾ cup.
Tip:
For optimal benefits, drink this beverage 3 times a day for a couple of days. You should feel the heat and sore throat reduced.
